Talk Toggle does not collect any personally identifiable information.
The application requires access to your microphone to function (to mute and unmute). It will never transmit or send any audio from your microphone to external sources (i.e. to servers/3rd parties/etc).

Talk Toggle does collect some anonymised data through 3rd party services (described below) which is used to aid the development and maintenance of the application. If you do not agree to the collection of this data (described below) do not download or use the application.

Error Tracking

If any errors occur while using the application, anonymised data about the crash is sent and stored via Sentry (a 3rd party service).

What information is collected?

Here is a breakdown of the anonymised information we may collect when an error occurs:

  • Exception information (e.g. what part of the code crashed and any error message). This could, in rare cases, contain paths to applications on your computer.
  • Version number of the application (e.g. 0.1.2)
  • Logs of user actions prior to a crash (e.g. hot key was trigger)
  • Information if the user is trialing or has purchased the application.
  • Operating system information. Including the Windows build (e.g. Windows 10.0.18362) and architecture (e.g. 32-bit)

What we do with this information?

We use this information to help diagnose and fix any bugs that may occur when using the application.

Usage Analytics

The application uses heap.io (a 3rd party service) as our analytics solution to help us capture anonymised information about the user and how they use the application.
