It applies to closedlooplabs.com, downloads.closedlooplabs.com, and the Noise Blocker pages and services provided through these websites.

Your purchase, activation, and use of Noise Blocker are also governed by our Terms and Conditions . Those terms contain additional information about licence activation, validation, permitted use, updates, and your responsibilities as a user.

2. Visiting the website and downloading Noise Blocker

You can browse the website and download Noise Blocker without creating an account or providing your name, email address, or other personal information.

We do not use tracking cookies, advertising pixels, browser fingerprinting, or cross-site tracking on these pages.

Downloading Noise Blocker does not require you to submit personal information to Closed Loop Labs. We do not use the download page to build visitor profiles or identify individual people who download the software.

3. Cookieless analytics

We use privacy-focused, cookieless analytics to understand how the website is used. This may include aggregate information such as:

  • which pages are visited;
  • how visitors navigate the website;

  • general device or browser categories; and
  • whether the website is operating correctly.

Our analytics:

  • do not use cookies or persistent visitor identifiers;
  • do not create individual visitor profiles;
  • are not used to identify individual visitors; and
  • are not used for advertising, remarketing, or cross-site tracking.

We use this information only to maintain, understand, and improve the website. Our analytics are configured to minimise the collection of personal information and operate in a privacy-preserving manner.

4. Information you provide

We process personal information when you choose to provide it, such as when you:

  • purchase a licence;
  • recover or manage a licence;
  • request a refund;
  • contact customer support; or
  • send us another enquiry.

Depending on the service you use, this information may include:

  • your name;
  • your email address;
  • your billing information;
  • your order and transaction details;
  • your licence information; and
  • the contents of messages or support requests you send to us.

Please avoid sending sensitive personal information unless it is necessary for us to respond to your request.

5. Licence activation and device information

When you activate or use Noise Blocker, we may process information needed to validate and manage your licence.

This may include:

  • your licence key;
  • licence status and activation history;
  • the version of Noise Blocker being used;
  • activation dates and related technical records; and
  • a hashed or pseudonymised identifier derived from information about the activated device.

The device identifier is used to distinguish between activated devices and enforce the activation limits associated with your licence. It is not intended to reveal the contents of your device or identify you outside our licence-management system.

We use licence and activation information to:

  • validate your licence;
  • manage activation limits;
  • allow activations to be transferred or recovered;
  • provide technical support;
  • maintain the security of our services; and
  • prevent fraud, misuse, and unauthorised licence sharing.

Information required to validate a licence may need to be retained while that licence remains active. If you request deletion of information that is necessary to validate or manage your licence, we may no longer be able to confirm the licence or allow continued activation.

Additional information about licence activation and use is provided in our Terms and Conditions .

6. How we use your information

We may use personal information to:

  • process and confirm purchases;
  • deliver, activate, manage, or recover licences;
  • provide downloads, updates, and support;
  • respond to requests and enquiries;
  • issue refunds where applicable;
  • send important service or transactional messages;
  • maintain the security and reliability of our website and services;
  • prevent fraud, misuse, and unauthorised access;
  • maintain business and accounting records; and
  • comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.

We do not use personal information for unrelated advertising or sell it to third parties.

Where required by law, we process personal information on one or more of the following grounds:

  • to perform a contract with you or take steps at your request before entering into a contract;
  • to comply with a legal obligation;
  • for our legitimate interests, such as securing our services, preventing fraud, and providing customer support; or
  • with your consent, where consent is required.

7. Payments

Payments are handled by our payment providers.

When you make a purchase, the payment provider may process information such as:

  • your name;
  • your billing address;
  • your email address;
  • your payment method;
  • transaction details; and
  • information used to prevent fraud.

We do not receive or store your complete payment-card number or card security code.

Payment providers process personal information in accordance with their own privacy notices and legal obligations.

8. Service providers and sharing

We do not sell personal information or share it for advertising.

We may use carefully selected service providers to help us operate Noise Blocker and provide our services. These may include providers of:

  • payment processing;
  • email delivery;
  • website and infrastructure hosting;
  • licence management;
  • error reporting and technical operations;
  • fraud prevention; and
  • customer support tools.

These providers may process personal information only where necessary to provide their services to us and subject to their contractual and legal obligations.

Some service providers may process information outside your country or outside the European Economic Area. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

We may also disclose information where:

  • required by law or a valid legal request;
  • necessary to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims;
  • reasonably necessary to protect our rights, users, services, or the public; or
  • our business or relevant assets are transferred to another organisation.

9. How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.

Retention periods may depend on the need to:

  • provide and manage your licence;
  • complete a purchase, refund, or licence recovery;
  • respond to support requests;
  • maintain business, tax, and accounting records;
  • comply with legal or regulatory obligations;
  • resolve disputes; or
  • prevent fraud, misuse, and unauthorised access.

For example, purchase and accounting records may need to be retained for the period required by applicable tax and accounting laws.

Licence and activation records may be retained for as long as they are needed to validate and manage the licence, prevent misuse, and maintain a record of activations.

Support correspondence may be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the request and maintain an appropriate record of the issue.

When information is no longer required, we delete it, anonymise it, or otherwise remove identifying information where reasonably practical.

10. Your rights

Depending on where you live and the information we process about you, you may have the right to:

  • request access to your personal information;
  • ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
  • request deletion of your information;
  • ask us to restrict how your information is used;
  • object to certain processing;
  • receive certain information in a portable format;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and
  • make a complaint to a data-protection authority.

These rights are not absolute. In some circumstances, we may need to retain or continue processing information where it is necessary to:

  • comply with the law;
  • maintain accounting or transaction records;
  • establish, exercise, or defend legal claims;
  • prevent fraud or misuse; or
  • provide and validate a service you have requested.

As explained above, deleting information required to validate or manage a Noise Blocker licence may prevent us from continuing to validate that licence.

To exercise your rights or ask a privacy-related question, email [email protected] .

If you are located in the Netherlands, you may also have the right to make a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
